“There is a deadly disease living inside our son’s little body. It made him weaker every day, and we didn’t even know,” says Shyam Verma, Hardik's father.It began in May when Hardik started to fall sick. His fever wasn’t going down, so his parents took him to a doctor who advised them to go to Mumbai for further tests. What they thought was only a passing fever, soon turned into a nightmare. 5-year-old Hardik was diagnosed with blood cancer in August. He has taken 3 cycles of chemotherapy so far, and has 3 more left.
